As a gold patron of Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone (BYZ), Staci donates over £25,000 per year to the charity, and supports in many other ways such as volunteering and investing in tree planting initiatives to help children get closer to nature and give back to local and global environments.
BYZ are an incredible charity who aim to support young people’s futures, by providing them with a safe and fun environment where they can learn new skills and access a fantastic support network.
Through Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone, we were introduced to brother and sister duo Gareth and Seren, who are 12 and 8 years old. Gareth and Seren have formed their own small business, ‘Star Makers,’ for which they recycle used plastic bottle lids to create beautifully artistic coasters.
This incredibly entrepreneurial and forward thinking business idea, along with the stunning aesthetics of the coasters, lead to Staci placing an order from Star Makers for their hand made, brilliant coasters in our Staci white and blue’s.
Staci is extremely proud of Gareth and Seren’s spirit and dedication to both entrenpreneurship and sustainability even at such an early age and are delighted to continue to support the young children of Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone with all of their endeavours.
Well done Star Makers for bringing an outstanding idea to life!
