Reports to: Head of IT or their nominated manager
Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week
Location: Staci UK, Blackburn (Walker Park)
Date: September 2021
Salary: £32k – £40k per annum

JOB PURPOSE

The SQL BI Developer will be responsible for the organisation’s business intelligence reporting which will help drive key performance indicators within all areas of the business. Development of management and operational reports and applications for clients and internal use. You will play a key role in transformational projects that involves migrating the data warehouse services to the cloud.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ingesting data from a variety of group wide data sources and performing required
    transformations
  • Report development to meet Internal and client needs
  • Liaise with clients where appropriate to understand and scope requirements
  • Creating and maintaining SQL objects such as views, stored procedures and functions relating to automated processes
  • Working with colleagues to manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes and fixing any
    defects identified
  • Management and consolidation of Staci’s suit of reports
  • Compliance with and contribution to Staci’s development standards.
  • Ensure Staci’s Data Warehousing and reporting systems are scalable in line with the business growth plans
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures

CRITICAL SKILLS

  • Essential IT Skills:
    o SQL, SSIS, SSRS
    o ETL, data warehousing
    o T-SQL
    o MS Excel / Power BI development
  • Other IT Skills:
    o Crystal (or other reporting tools) Development
    o MS Visual Studio Development
    o Good Google workspace / MS Office skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Able to use initiative
